IOpera was invited to present two evenings of operatic entertainment in one of the world’s most unusual venues, and one of Australia’s most unique musical events.

As the sun slowly made its way below the distant horizon of the tropical savannah bushland of North Queensland, the stage, itself a natural geological formation, became an arena for two nights of operatic highlights, including scenes from Puccini’s La Bohème.

The singers included Lee Abrahamsen, Kathryn Zerk, Jacob Caine, Christopher Gosling and Peter Tregear. The pianist was Sue Gossling, the producer was Stephen Moschner.
